Position Description
We are looking for a dedicated person to join our family to as a Production Planner for our CNC/Machining area.

Flexible 1st shift hours, great working culture – will consider motivated candidates without formal Production Planning work experience
Position will be responsible for:
- Production/capacity planning in CNC Milling & Turning Areas (includes both low and high volume work)
- Setting priorities for internal machining, and external subcontracting schedules
- Schedule/manage vendor lead times for purchasing and subcontracting processes (including detailed review of specs)
- Keeping a pulse on/understanding production progress across 3 shifts
- Effectively collaborate with divisions at separate physical locations
- Assist in determining and communicating daily shipping requirements/needs
- Managing raw, work in progress, and finished good inventory as needed (may be both physical and system based)
- Daily review of production/operator job cards for corrections
- Take the lead on customer/vendor communication setting
- Supporting department meet delivery & sales volume KPI’s
- Support department material purchasing as needed
- Other tasks as assigned/needed in order to keep the department work flowing, may include assisting with system level or other process improvements
Qualified Candidates will:
- Be self-motivated, & a natural team player - willing to help hands on as needed to meet due dates (lifting up to 35lbs)
- Willing to interface/communicate independently with shop floor leads and employees to get answers, solve problems
- Have prior ERP system experience, or be proficient in using/learning software or systems, and comfortable in Excel.
- Be comfortable working in an environment with shifting priorities
- Have an interest in or passion for manufacturing
- Have prior work experience that allowed exposure to a CNC Machining or Manufacturing (in a hands on or administrative capacity)
- Some blueprint reading experience is a plus, but not required
- General business education, or supply chain degree a plus, but not required
